# Notifications

Stay informed with real-time notifications from your trainer.

## Notification types

| Type               | Example                                            |
| ------------------ | -------------------------------------------------- |
| Program assigned   | "Your trainer has assigned a new program: \[name]" |
| Session scheduled  | "New session: \[name] on \[date]"                  |
| Session cancelled  | "Session cancelled: \[name]"                       |
| Check-in requested | "Your trainer has requested a check-in"            |

## Notification actions

* Tap a session notification → opens **UpcomingSessionDetailView**
* Tap other notifications → marks as read
* Cross-mode notifications alert you if you need to switch profiles
